Sarah Itam is a highly qualified Consultant Urological surgeon currently working in functional and restorative surgery. She studied Medicine at Imperial College London before going on to complete her surgical training in the Mersey and London regions. She has worked in several top UK hospitals including Guy’s and St Thomas’ and University College London Hospitals where she completed specialist fellowship training in female, functional and reconstructive surgery. She further attained a competitive fellowship in Russells Hall Hospital, the highest volume urethroplasty centre in the UK.
Sarah gained a distinction in her Masters in Surgical Education from Imperial College - one of the few courses of its kind in the country. With over 10 years of experience in clinical practice, Sarah is an engaging and informed speaker committed to improving public health awareness and Medical education.
Grounded by her firm belief that anyone can achieve their educational goals, regardless of background, Sarah has spoken to hundreds of school, college and university students over the years. She has a natural flair for dynamic and engaging presentations which capture her audience's attention, and draws them into the exciting world of surgery; a world rich with intriguing anecdotes, life-changing moments and challenging realities.
